Aqua's History
I first got into creating graphics in December-2008. I was looking for some very cool wallpapers for my desktop and some 100x100 icons for my MSN Avatar. My desktop was always so plain and everything so I would die for some good wallpapers. I saw everybody's MSN was so pretty and unique. I fell in love with it! Then I stumbled upon Mitzi's website. And I was actually very surprised she made it himself because everything was just lovely! I spent some more time looking at her graphics and they were all so awesome! I totally loved it! I then wanted to find out how to make pixels for my-self!
I read a few tutorials from Mitzi's website and some google sites. After when I think I can do it, I started downloading some programs such as photofiltre, gimp, and photoscape. My first few graphics (wallpapers and icons) were terrible, but I kept them anyway! I couldn't risk just forgetting about them. 2 grueling months later, I got the hang of it. My mother actually liked them so I got addicted with them! I wanted to show the world what I can do so I decided to own a little personal blog. I can then store my graphics there. Thus, Aqua-Marine(The Site Name), was born!
The title Aqua-Marine is actually my name. I wanted people to know that I made it so I named my site after me! Aqua-Marine first started out as a little blog. I used the host "Blogger". I can't really design it that time so I just made it originally. But then, I decided that even though you're just storing it, I still wanted my site to look good, so I found a better host... Freewebs! But now it's called Webs! I still didn't really learn HTML or CSS that time so I just used one of the templates. I edited it and I loved it! It lasted for a few months until some things happened.
Somebody hacked into my account and changed my password and my e-mail! I couldn't send my password to my e-mail because it has been changed. I haven't been logging on, because I can't, my account has been deleted. My second site did not exist anymore. It's sad. But fortunately, Mitzi's cousin, Becca, kindly offered to host me. Becca owned a nice graphic site. Becca kindly(you know she didn't need to) offered me 3 templates I can choose from. I didn't have any HTML or CSS experience at all! It took Becca a long time to make the templates! I got my own FTP from Becca and everything kindly goes to Becca!
But unfortunately, another tragic happened. An virus got into her computer. Becca couldn't get it out! She downloaded lots of programs but it didn't work! Then, the virus got into her web somehow(I have no idea how), it was just bad. Then it somehow got into my computer1 All my graphics were deleted, but I know I can save it back from my site. But Becca had to get it out of her computer, so she deleted her web. Which interfered with mine. But Becca's computer was fine again(weird!).I got sick of searching and changing hosts so I decided to go on break for as long as I can take it.
During my break, I did lots of work. I asked one of my friend's dad. He is a professional at computers. He has all these amazing files and programs! He said he used it for a long time, and so far, no computer damages for like 3 years! I purchased some files and used them in my computer. It was actually pretty good! Then I asked mt friends what hosts do they use for their websites. Since they don't use CSS or HTML. They use Own-Free-Website. They say they owned a site for 3 years now and they didn't log in for one year! I was surprised. The only negative thing is that you have to make your own posts. Which was sad, but I managed!
April-2010, I officially registered on Own-Free-Website and became a member. I loved it! I decided to call it Qshow graphics because I thought Q is a really unique letter. Show is for showwing it. And graphics is just graphics. And here I am today!
Isadora's History
After my sister told me about her new opening of her site, I decided to take a look at it! I found it very amusing especially how she was really into it. When I saw it, it was quite simple and plain. It was just empty, but with tons of categories! I thought the site was really simple so, I didn't really care that much.
The next day, I saw Aqua on he computer creating more graphics, which inspired me. I saw Aqua carefully used the tools and cropping the pictures from one place to another. Then I noticed here site needs all the help she can get! She can't do it all by herself so I deided to apply!
But even though Aqua is my sister, she is still treating me as someone who she hasn't met yet. Which is true. She wanted me to have some graphics skills. So I visited Mitzi's site and lots of other assistance. I spent some time on the computer and I got the hang of it! Then, Aqua finally accepted me! I never thought that would happen!
So from that day forward, I became the co-web of QShow!
